What are the venue’s box office hours of operation? Can I get tickets the day of?
Our Box Office is open from 10AM - 2PM on the show day. You can purchase tickets online at www.sundaysintheredwoods.com or at our venue box office the day of show.
Where do I Park?
*****EXPECT EXTREMELY HIGH VOLUMES OF TRAFFIC***
Event parking is collected by the City of Oakland Parks & Recreation Department. Enter the park at upper Sanborn Drive, across the street from Robinson Drive. You will see a sign and a banner with the Woodminster shows. Enter the park, passing the rec center on your left, and then you'll pay a $10(cash) parking fee to a City of Oakland employee. Bear left. There's a paved parking lot on your left, and a series of dirt lots on your left all the way down the hill. Disabled permit parking is in the lot directly across from the upper theater entrance, a path marked "Pedestrian Entrance," with a very limited number of places in the lower lot, #1, adjacent to the lower theater entrance, where a ramp provides access to the Box Seats.
Make sure you park legally! Some patrons have been ticketed for parking in places that may hinder others' egress.
Parking is on a first come first serve basis.
What is your weather policy?
If it rains or the day is a red flag day, the event will be canceled. If we cancel a performance due to force majeure, we will honor your ticket(s) value and refund your ticket minus the processing fees ($3).
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations will only occur in the event of severe weather, artist cancelation, or an act of God. In the event of a cancellation local media will be notified and any information about a potential reschedule will be made available. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase.
What is your smoking policy?
There is absolutely no smoking in or around the venue. We appreciate your cooperation.
What Police assistance is available?
On Duty Oakland Police Department law enforcement officers are onsite and are the only individuals able to carry a weapon on the property. We do not allow concealed and carry weapons to be brought into the venue nor will we secure them.
What is your camera Policy?
SUBJECT TO CHANGE- The standard venue policy allows camera phones, disposable cameras, and small digital cameras. Any camera that has a detachable lens will be considered professional and not allowed in. If the camera lens zooms out of the camera more than 1 inch, it will be considered a professional camera and will not be allowed in. Some artists do not permit cameras so please check back for the show you will be attending to ensure that we will be allowing cameras in.
Where are drop offs allowed?
Please let the parking staff know that you are dropping someone off and they will direct you.
What is your emergency & first aid policy?
First aid is located behind the box office. Cooling and water stations are set up throughout the venue. Any staff member with a radio can dispatch First Aid to the location needed. Local law enforcement officers are also on site and can assist if needed or requested. Venue & Production management works closely with all appropriate emergency agencies and services to ensure that we are up to date on any dangerous weather or potential crowd related issues. In the event of a weather emergency- we will communicate with guests that are inside of the facility as well as guests on their way to the venue.
What’s the venue bag policy?
To reduce staff-contact with guest belongings, the venue has implemented the following bag policy: They will allow clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutch bags (6”x 9”).
What Kind of bag inspections do you perform?
Clear plastic bags, no larger than 12" x 12" x 6"
small wristlet or hand held wallet, no larger than 6" x 9"
Picnic Food in clear 1 gallon size bag
All bags are subject to search upon entry. Guest have the right to refuse a bag search and the venue has the right to refuse entry. If you have any items that are not allowed into the venue please return them to your vehicle.
What is your re-entry policy?
Re-Entry is not permitted. Please ensure that everything you will need for the event is brought in with you. If you do leave at any point in the evening- you will not be allowed back in without a new ticket.
Are Umbrellas allowed?
Small umbrellas and parasols are allowed. No large "golf" or double sized umbrellas.
What is your alcohol policy?
Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase during your time at the venue. You are not permitted to bring any alcoholic beverages into the venue. A valid and current Driver License or State ID card is required to purchase alcohol- guests will be required to show ID every time they purchase.
Do I need to purchase a ticket for my child?
Children under the age of 3 do not need to purchase a ticket. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Can I bring my pet to the party?
Under the ADA, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. We are NOT required to permit comfort animals into our parks and recreation facilities, only service animals.
